The Mini-FAT-JAM is around the corner. On Saturday 29 March the Sugar Hills trails in Aarle-Rixtel will be the place to be for everyone who wants to get an early season trails session in. The trails have never looked better. There are some decent doubles for those who want to go crazy but there are enough tables and small jumps for everyone to give dirt jumping a try. The sandy surface makes for soft landings too so the crashes will be a bit more comfortable.
The trails are open from 13:00hr and after the session everyone is invited to come watch the unofficial Dutch Odyssey Electronical premiere at OJA (20:00hr). Paul's Boutique will open its doors at 11:00hr that day so if you need anything you can do so in the same trip to Aarle-Rixtel. King Of Choq will make it this year and also a big Ueber 30 crew from Germany. The Belgian posse will be large and the Dutch BMX racers will show they're ready for Beijing.

From Bedford To World Cup Podiums... Cannondale Factory Racing! A new program for 2008 is the “Cannondale Factory Racing Team” – comprised of young riders on the way to the top of their game in downhill racing. “Professional support, style and a well-run program, topped with tons of fun and dedication is the recipe for this team. We chose riders based on their dedication to the sport, desire to progress, talent and great personality,” states Daniel Hespeler, Cannondale’s Brand Manager of MTB Teams.
Cannondale Factory Racing continues a long history of racing programs at Cannondale and will be seen on race tracks and podiums all around the world. The main focus will be the Nissan UCI World Cup, the UCI World Championships plus some European and North American Races.
The line up of Riders includes Dutch four-cross star Joost Wichman and, for downhill, the two-time US National Champion Duncan Riffle from Santa Barbara, California. Riding with them will be the UK’s premier junior talent, Sam Dale. “My very first real mountain bike was a Cannondale Super-V, and my dad had Super-V’s as well before I even knew what a mountain bike was. Now that I have the chance to be involved with Cannondale Factory Racing, I feel like I have a great home and family that has the same endless drive and passion for the sport of mountain bike racing as I do,” says Riffle. Teammate Wichman feels much the same. “Racing is the thing I love to do most. I have been racing since I was five years old so I can’t imagine a life without racing. It feels so good to be on a team with such a great name in this sport. 2008 is the year where I want to show everybody that I am capable to be on the podium consistently, and even win World Cup Races,” says Wichman. Sam Dale, who spent the first few days with the team on the Judge, says he’d like to place in the top 20s at World Cup races. “When I heard about the chance to be on the Cannondale program, I was super excited and could not wait to get on the bike. Having my first runs in on the Judge, I have to say it feels super smooth and handles amazing,” he said. The Cannondale Factory Racing Team is supported by technikdirekt.de, UFO, SRAM, Avid, Rock Shox, Gravity, Mavic, Maxxis, Fizik, Crankbrothers and e13. Riders will race aboard Cannondale bicycles such as the Judge, Perp, Chase and Prophet.

Gerco: Ey dude got 14 stitches!
Wat een adventure peoples,
Ik ben afgelopen woensdag naar Venray geweest want daar zou de eerste portable bmx track van de benelux staan.
Hiermee ga ik door nederland touren langs evenemten en scholen.
Goed eenmaal daar aangekomen heb ik de fiets uitgeladen en een rondje gedaan, de eerste bult leek mij een cookie dus daar ging ik.
Vanaf de starthill aangezet en de lip genomen in de lucht voelde ik een klap naar wat achteraf een stalen balk bleek te zijn (ouch!!)
Toen ging het allemaal heel snel..
Ik kwam weer neer en raakte uit balans waardoor ik rechtsaf richting een traanplaat plank ging, de zijkant was zo scherp als een scheermes en hier kwam ik met mijn hoofd tegen!!
ik voelde nattigheid en dacht dat het zweet was tot ik op me broek allemaal bloed voelde ai ai ai dacht ik.
en de mensen die erbij waren keken in shock haha!
Ik ben wat gewend dus zei heeft iemand een doekje dan kan ik zo weer verder en daar waren zij het dus niet mee eens!
De ambulance werd gebeld en voor ik het wist lag ik op een plank met een nekding om.. ik leek wel een bejaarde die naar de slachtbank ging!
Nou om een lang verhaal kort te maken, kwam ik het ziekenhuis uit met 14 hechtingen waarvan er 9 op me voorhoofd 3 in me haar en 2 onder me oog!
Goed het leven van een sweettrails crewmember gaat helaas niet over rozen maar het was wel een avontuur haha!
Gasten als ik jullie een tip mag geven: draag ALTIJD een helm/potje whatever! ik heb het niet gedaan en zie hieronder het reslutaat!!
